The innovative transmedia literary project will continue to grow thanks to the publication of Mark of Odin: Ragnarok this Fall

 
SEVILLE, SPAIN – JUNE 29th, 2021 – Author and creator Xavier Marcé has announced that Mark of Odin saga has managed to exceed 100,000 books worldwide, both in Spanish and English. This milestone is achieved thanks to the sales of its online store, where its collector's editions are sold exclusively and a strong presence on external platforms, such as Kobo, Google Play Books, Apple Books or Amazon. In the latter, the first book in the saga, Mark of Odin: The Awakening has managed to reach the Top 1 of science fiction in Spain more than fifty times. 
 

This feat unthinkable for most indie authors is the best gift to celebrate the imminent ninth anniversary of the launch of Mark of Odin: The Awakening and the online platform that supports the innovative literary model that offers. Since 2012, the #MarkedbyOdin have been able to enjoy the first two books of the saga, along with bonus chapters and more than 100 content updates that expand the story and are accompanied by impressive transmedia audio-visual productions. 
  
This 2021 Mark of Odin will take another step forward with the publication of Mark of Odin: Ragnarok, scheduled for this Fall. Confirmed just a month ago, Ragnarok will offer fans of the series the unique opportunity to enjoy it thanks to an exclusive early-preorder campaign with which they will get unique editions and numerous extras.

Among the surprises that Ragnarok will include is the song "More than one light," composed and performed by singer Milena Brody. This emotional song is part of the album just announced by her and which is currently in the financing phase through an attractive crowdfunding campaign on the Verkami platform.

ABOUT MARK OF ODIN 
Mark of Odin is a saga that fuses modern days with Norse mythology and Science Fiction. It has influences from authors such as Tolkien, George R.R. Martin, Asimov, K. Dick, or Tom Clancy, among others. As well as some of the most iconic television shows, movies, anime and videogames. It introduces a new literary and book publishing model that merges the experience of reading with an online platform with gamification features and a transmedia universe that doesn’t stop growing. Internationally renowed artists like the illustrator Michael Komarck, the composer Knut Avenstroup Haugen, the visual effects artists Manuel Rico, the Art Director Manu Nieto, or the singer Milena Brody, among others, collaborate with Mark of Odin. 
 

Born in Barcelona, 1982, Xavier Marcé graduated in Journalism in the city of Seville, the place where he lives today after having lived in Badalona, Casablanca, Zurich and Oslo. Since 1996 he has been specializing in Community Management and Online Communication, mainly in the videogame sector. He started his journalistic career as a freelancer for Micromania Magazine for three years, being responsible of the ‘Zona Online’ section. In 2004, he founded, together with David Puig, the first Spanish language magazine that specialized in massively multiplayer online games, Juegaenred.com, which he managed until 2013, when he left it to create the new magazine GoMultiplayer. In 2007, he made a leap to the videogames industry joining Funcom as the Spanish Community Manager for Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures and The Secret World until 2010. Since then he has combined the publishing world with the videogames industry together with Megapop Games, and the university world as a teacher in the Master Degree ‘Online Marketing and Social Media Strategies’ at the University of Seville. As a proactive and restless person, Xavier Marcé has taken the journey to create new ways for literature publishing with the transmedia literary saga of ‘Mark of Odin’. The first step was done with the release of Mark of Odin: The Awakening in Spanish, in 2012. In 2013, together with veterans of Funcom, he embarked on Megapop Games, an independent videogame studio to release titles such as Trolls vs Vikings 1 & 2, Meganumbers or, more recently, Haxity. A proactive and tireless person, Xavier Marcé combines his projects with teaching at the University of Seville both in the Expert Title of Community Manager and the Master in Social Media and Online Marketing, contributing with his experience in online community and crisis management.
