XaviVerso celebrates its 13th anniversary, marking thirteen years since the official launch of the Mark of Odin saga. Since then, I’ve published nine books, five in Spanish and four in English (with Ragnarok currently in production). More than 183,000 readers from around the world have already joined the #MarkedbyOdin movement, with ‘Mark of Odin: The Awakening‘ being the Top 1 Science Fiction book more than 100 times already. They’ve also been moved by the thriller ‘The Stone Lotus‘ or surprised and critically reflected on ‘Yes, They Will Pass!‘.
This literary project, which I began shaping a whopping twenty years ago, has not only positioned itself as an innovative international reference, but it has also continued to grow. And it has done so despite being completely independent and outside the established ecosystem of major publishing houses and entertainment groups. As I’ve said on many occasions, being independent has given me great freedom, but it has also closed many doors. Despite this, it hasn’t prevented me from continuing to grow, improve, and strive for one of my greatest passions.
Doing this alongside such good friends and collaborators, but especially alongside so many readers who have enjoyed my stories, is a dream come true. If I look back and see my evolution as a person and professional, as well as the books I’ve published and the progression in production times, I can’t help but feel dizzy. Above all, because my heart tells me that the best is yet to come.
This is relevant considering that I combine this incredible project with my work in the video game industry, with the Norwegian video game studio Megapop Games, with which I launched Trolls vs Vikings: Reborn in March and announced our next big title for 2026: Life Below. Not only that, but since last year I’ve also been involved in growing the Barbaros Group restaurant chain, with the Barbaros restaurant in Hanoi, Vietnam, as the main flagship. This project is actually responsible for me spending many seasons in this Southeast Asian country that I love so much.
As you can see, I’m very fortunate to be able to pursue my greatest passions: books, video games, and providing the best experiences for food and drink lovers. Of course, I’m still just human, and I don’t have enough time in the day to do everything I want.
The saga continues to grow
These past few months, we’ve been publishing and sharing new extended stories in Spanish from “Mark of Odin: Ragnarok” as part of the “Heroes of Earth” series. My initial plan was to produce and publish dozens more stories throughout this year, both in the form of chronicles and focused on the characters, locations, organizations, vehicles, and technologies. I’m speaking in the past tense, as I’ve decided to change my plans in this regard to be more realistic with my capabilities and focus on what’s most important.
That’s why I’m putting these stories on hold for now. Each one requires time and resources, especially to produce the accompanying audiovisual content. That said, my goal remains to focus on the two pending bonus chapters of Ragnarok. As you’ve seen, we recently published the English edition of ‘Mark of Odin: Road to Valhalla.’ We’re currently finalizing the translation and revision of its bonus chapters and all the extended stories in Volume 2 of the Odinpedia.
So right now, the priority is to complete the translation and revision process for the English edition of ‘Mark of Odin: Ragnarok.‘ Why? Making the entire saga available in English is essential to increasing our presence worldwide. Translations are laborious, and their revisions are even more so, consuming much more time than I’d like. The revision of ‘Road to Valhalla‘ alone took over two months.
Once completed, along with the translation of its bonus chapters and extended stories, it will be time to tackle XaviVerso‘s next literary project.
In Rare Earths
Initially, my plans included starting production on the fourth book in the ‘Mark of Odin’ saga sometime this year. Reality and current events dictate, and after several months of consideration, I’ve decided to delay this book in order to move forward with what was going to be the next one I wanted to write and publish, to 2026-2027. This is nothing less than a new action thriller set in the Second Line of the XaviVerse and which will continue the plots of ‘The Stone Lotus’ and ‘Yes, They Shall Pass’. I’m talking about… ‘In Rare Earths’; that’s its title, which may already give you some clue as to its plot.
Yes, you read that right. I’m very excited to confirm that you’re going to see the return of the fierce intelligence agent, Carla Romero, facing a conspiracy of unimaginable proportions. This story began to germinate in my mind from the very moment I began writing ‘The Stone Lotus‘. And, as with certain elements of that novel, such as, above all, the plot of ‘Yes, They Will Pass!‘ the thin line between fiction and reality is becoming increasingly fragile.
And that explains why I brought forward this project. What’s happening in the world today, with so many national and international conflicts, makes me suspect that the plot I imagined is increasingly likely to become reality. That’s why it’s important for me to be able to publish this story before that happens, as I want to continue being a fiction author. Readers have already criticized ‘Yes, They Will Pass!‘ claiming that it was “a copy of what’s happening now.” Although, of course, these reviews omit the small, important detail that the novel was published more than two years ago…
I’d like to be able to offer you a roadmap for the publication of this novel and the bonus chapters of Ragnarok. Honestly, the only thing I can do at this point is convey my desire to try to get them out as soon as possible. As I’ve told you, I’m currently working on several professional fronts, in addition to being subject to several personal constraints, which require me to be traveling from one side of the planet to the other every few months. This makes it difficult for me to have the stability and peace of mind necessary to move forward as I would like and write at a good pace. I promise I’ll give my all, as always!
Here’s to the 14th anniversary
Whatever the case, I feel very fortunate for everything I’ve been able to create and the impact it’s had on my life, as well as on the lives of so many people around the world who have ended up reading my stories. I hope we can continue to grow, reach more readers, and continue writing to share new ones. That’s my biggest dream: to be able to gather an even bigger team and be able to create stories nonstop so they can spread in every possible format.
